Territory Craft Darwin has a number of fully equipped studios where workshops and classes are conducted. Our Tutors are  professional craftspeople who bring to Territory Craft a wealth of experience and undeniable talent. The workshops aim to impart to students skills and techniques to allow them to begin executing projects straight away.

July 2010

Glass Beads for Beginners with Michelle Selway  - Saturday 3rd July. Students are introduced to the fun and simple techniques of glass bead making. Continuing students can also participate.

Glass Postcards from the Top End. -Saturday 10th July 10:00am - 12:00pm. Students will create a glass postcard sized artwork.

Clay Beads - Saturday 10th July 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Use clay and found objects to create a series of beads.

An introduction to silver jewellery making - Monday 12th July 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Make a sterling silver ring and learn to saw, solder and polish. A taster before you commit to the 6 week program.

Precious Metal Clay with Glass - Tuesday 13th july 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Make a silver pendant using PMC, a malleable clay that when fired turns to silver.

silver jewellery making - 6 Mondays commencing 26th July 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Students will learn or further their skills in making jewellery with sterling silver.

Kiln formed glass - 2 weekends commencing 30th July. Learn the basics of kiln formed glass and undertake 2 projects.

Throwing on the Wheel - 6 Saturdays 1:00pm - 4:00pm commencing 31st July. Learn the basic techniques of using a potter's wheel and make a series of pots.

August 2010

Wax Casting Silver Jewellery  - 6 Wednesdays commencing 4th August. Experienced students will make a number of sculptured pieces using this fascinating process.

The Lead and How to Swing It!  - 6 Thursdays commencing 5th August. An advanced course in which participants will construct a small stained glass window. 
$215 members $190 (materials will depend on chosen design) 

Glass Bead Making Intermediate  - Weekend 7th & 8th August. This workshop will introduce a variety of new techniques using frits, micas and reduction to create unique glass beads.

Hand-made clay fired tiles  - Sunday 8th August 10-3 and 15th 1-4. Make clay tiles using a slab roller and other handbuilding techniques.
