Accredited Professional Membership
From 2005 onward members wishing to be recognized as professional craft practitioners will be able to apply to the Board of Territory Craft for enrolment as an Accredited Professional Member.APMs will be able to access a range of new and exciting initiatives to assist them in marketing and promoting themselves and their products.
Requirements & Selection
The following information is offered as guide to those members wishing to apply for accreditation, application forms will be available from the office in due course.
1.Anyone, being a general member of Territory Craft, can apply at any time to become an Accredited Professional Member.
2.Accreditation is awarded by the Accreditation Panel following recommendation from the Divisional Committees.
3.The Accreditation Panel is a panel of peers appointed by the Board to represent the broadest range of crafts possible. The panel comprises five members and two reserves.
(a) All members on the panel have equal voting rights.
(b) An absent panel member is replaced by one of the two appointed reserves.
(c) The chairperson for panel meetings is appointed by the Board.
(d) A unanimous vote or 4:1 are the only effective votes in favour of a decision.
(e) The panel has the authority to seek expert advice where necessary.
4. These Accreditation Guidelines must be made available to applicants prior to lodgement of an application for accreditation.
5.CRITERIA: Artistic Merit: The primary criterion for accreditation is a demonstrated high standard of artistic skill. TECHNICAL SKILL: Applicants must also demonstrate a high standard of technical skill.
6. Where there is doubt concerning an applicant's fulfilment of the above criteria for assessment the Accreditation Panel may seek further information, documentation and/or supporting material from the applicant.
7. The decision of the Accreditation Panel is final and the Accreditation Panel will not enter into correspondence concerning its decisions. Written reports will not be provided to applicants.
8. Any applicant not offered Accredited Professional Member status may reapply to a later panel session.
9.The Accreditation Panel will meet biannually or as required.
