Territory Craft
"Committed to the Development, Promotion and Growth of the Craft Industry in the Northern Territory"


Our Aims & Objectives

These objectives form a major part of our 'Mission Statement'
  1. To represent, develop and promote the professional crafts industry in Australia.
  2. To promote and advance the crafts and education of these crafts and to encourage the highest standards of craftsmanship in all it's forms.
  3. To encourage a high level of performance in the crafts and related fields and to encourage special achievements in these fields.
  4. To establish a code of ethics and professional practice to apply to members of Territory Craft.
  5. To encourage those interested in the core values of the organization to become members.
  6. To print and publish any newspapers, periodicals, books or leaflets that the organization may think desirable for the promotion of it's core values.
  7. To encourage and assist the education of craftspeople.
  8. To encourage education in the crafts throughout all levels of the education system.
  9. To encourage the establishment of craft training facilities.
  10. To establish, maintain library and gallery, lecture, demonstration and experimental facilities with such ancillary services as are desirable and necessary.
  11. To exhibit or promote, nationally and internationally the work of Australian craftspeople and to facilitate the exposure of overseas work and ideas to Australia.
  12. To bring international craftspeople, their works and ideas to Australia.

'Objets Craft' is the name of our exhibition gallery at the Conacher St premises in Darwin. Members can stage exhibitions of their work at the gallery for a very reasonable fee.
